About Me

Elisa Haber was born in New York City and currently resides in Los Angeles. She is an editorial photographer whose work places a strong emphasis on environmental portraiture. Elisa embarked on her career in the documentary film industry during the 1990s. After attending the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, she shifted her focus exclusively to still photography.

Initially, Elisa began her career by contributing to magazines like Flaunt and Venice. Flaunt magazine commissioned her to capture images of “Public Access Stars,” an endeavor that sparked her dedication to an ongoing series. This series eventually expanded into a much larger project, encompassing the documentation of over 20 “celebrities” from cable TV access shows.

Venice magazine played a pivotal role in propelling her career forward, primarily through her portraiture work centered around Hollywood. Her diverse portfolio features a wide range of subjects, including film composers like Randy Newman, Mark Isham, and Elmer Bernstein. Among her list of filmed directors are Wes Anderson, Alfonso Cuarón, Christopher Guest, and Errol Morris. Additionally, Elisa boasts an extensive portfolio of celebrity actors.

Her genuine passion lies in capturing series of work with an Americana inclination. Her most recent series, “Twinsburg,” is now entering its fifth year of production. This series follows twins who participate in an annual Twins festival held in Twinsburg, Ohio.
